Cameraless: Creating moving images with a physical medium
'Cameraless' is a workshop for people with a desire to interact with analog film and create moving images in a physical medium. Join us as we create a collaborative film by animating directly onto 16mm film. You will learn various mark-making techniques while exploring and developing your own ideas. By the end of this workshop you will have a better sense of how to start making your own cameraless films. (No drawing skills needed.)
Register to participate here. Only 15 spots available!
Work created during this workshop will screen at 7:30pm on Friday, July 29 at The Southern Theater. You must buy a ticket to attend.

Adam Dargan is an experimental animator and filmmaker working to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary art-making practices. He works primarily with analog film to explore texture and movement of the medium. Then uses his knowledge of 3D software to manipulate these analog images into 3D environments. The combination of analog and digital mediums allows him to create imagery that highlights new perspectives on the media we are typically exposed to.
